1961年大阪生まれ
京都大学工学部建築科に入学、経済学部で卒業。
一旦は就職するも、辞めてデザインの勉強のため千葉大工学部工業意匠科に編入学。そこで絵を描く面白さを知ってニューヨークアートスチューデンツリーグに留学。
その後は一度フランスに遊学した他は特筆するような事もなく、絵を教える傍ら時々個展などで作品を発表して今日に至る。
現在、横須賀市在住

I am a Japanese artist, born in 1961 at Osaka, Japan.
After graduating Kyoto University with an economics degree, I got a job in a governmental office. But it was so boring, and I quit there to study an industry design at Chiba University. I discovered the interest in drawing figures there. So, I changed my mind again and decided to go to The Art Students’ League of NY to study fine art full time (1990~91). I chose this school because of a book entitled ‘Natural way to draw’ which was so wonderful and whose author used to be a teacher at this school. After two years’ stay in NY I returned to Japan and keep painting.
1995~I started my career as a teacher in some classes of oil painting while painting by myself. 2002~03 I studied at Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris.
Although I was influenced by many old masters. I have never had a teacher of my own in my career. The nature is my great teacher, and I always paint after nature.
